Those peculiar, flat-topped silhouettes hanging in the middle ground caught my eye immediately. I was trying to figure out if they were some weird fungal growth or just weirdly pruned branches, but the Ace Pro 2 picked up those distinct shapes with weirdly sharp clarity. The lens distortion makes the forest feel like it's leaning in to eavesdrop on me.

The way the Ace Pro 2 captures those flat-topped shapes provides a delightful sense of mystery, and the verticality of the trunks creates a rhythmic, repeating pattern that anchors the frame. However, the 4mm distortion makes the foreground tree on the left feel slightly over-exaggerated, almost as if it’s trying to push the rest of the forest out of the frame. Since you’re shooting on an action cam, you should try to position yourself slightly further back to let the wide-angle lens flatten the perspective just a hair, preventing that "leaning in" effect from becoming overwhelming. Next time, try to find a single, clearer focal point among those odd shapes so the viewer's eye isn't wandering too wildly through the brush. It’s a bit of a woodland enigma that certainly kept Gerry squinting at the screen for a good minute.
